Skin Rejuvenation

Skin Rejuvenation reduces the appearance of fine lines and blemishes while revitalizing the skin to make you look and feel younger.

Facials:

Facials are a relaxing skin treatment to re-hydrate, cleanse and rejuvenate the skin as well as minimize blemishes, dry patches, acne and fine lines. A Facial involves a cleansing procedure, a massage, a steam and a face mask. Through this process, the outer layer of dead skin cells is removed, blood circulation is stimulated, lymphatic drainage is aided, and the skin is tightened and toned. Black and white heads are softened so they can be easily extracted.

Microdermabrasion:

Microdermabrasion is a procedure that uses fine crystals and a controlled vacuum to exfoliate the skin. First, the skin is washed to remove excess oil and dirt. Then, a medical professional targets a stream of aluminum oxide crystals over the area. The crystals abrade away old, dead skin cells, which the vacuum then picks up with gentle suction. This promotes the growth of collagen and new, rejuvenated skin. Moisturizers and sun block are then applied to the treated area. After the treatment, the skin has improved texture and softness, as well as fewer imperfections such as wrinkles and acne scars.

Chemical Peels:

Chemical Peels are a category of advanced clinical skin rejuvenation treatments that aid in reversing damaged skin due to factors such as aging, sun exposure and acne. There are three levels of Chemical Peels ranging in intensity and strength.

  • Alphahydroxy Acids (AHA) - These are the mildest form of Chemical Peels and provide smoother, brighter-looking skin. AHA peels may be used for treating fine lines and areas of dryness. AHA can be mixed with bleaching creams to correct pigmentation problems and can be used as a pre-treatment for the TCA peel. The peels' ingredients originate from glycolic, lactic and fruit acids.

  • Trichloracetic Acids (TCA) - This type is a medium-depth peeling system that may be performed in different variations. Fine surface wrinkles, superficial blemishes and pigmentation problems are commonly treated with the TCA Peel. More than one peel may be needed to achieve desired results, but the recovery time is shorter than with a Phenol treatment.

  • Phenol - This is the deepest, strongest Chemical Peel procedure with the most dramatic and longest-lasting results. It is used to treat clients with deep facial wrinkles, blotchiness and sun damaged skin. Since Phenol can cause the skin to lighten, your skin tone should be taken into consideration when deciding whether this level of treatment is right for you.
Dermabrasion:

Dermabrasion is a procedure in which a medical professional reduces scars and wrinkles by sanding them with a small hand-held tool. Local anesthesia is injected into the area before treatment begins. Once the treatment is completed, the skin is red and tender but smoother. Dermabrasion involves some downtime.

Laser Skin Resurfacing:

Laser Skin Resurfacing is a treatment for blemishes, scars and sun damaged skin in which a laser removes the old tissue and allows collagen and fresh skin to grow. Different lasers are used for varying degrees of resurfacing. Erbium lasers are medium strength lasers used to treat fine lines. CO2 lasers are more aggressive lasers used for deep wrinkles. Laser Skin Resurfacing involves some downtime.
